6 month check up

We had R Bear's 6 month check up today - she's weighing in at a whopping 17.10lbs and is 26 inches long - according to the doctor and charts, she's a big little girl for her age :) The two bottom teeth are all the way through now, and she's working on the other two in the back. Her hair is slowly but surely coming in faster by the day.

6 months already....where does the time go

R Bear has two front teeth that came through and she's working on two more in the back - She has been handling this whole teething business extremely well - not much crankiness, low grade fever sometimes at night, and we have had maybe two bad nights where she would just wake up every once in a while and be a little grouchy...but other than that...she's wonderful! We found a new teething comfort for her, she LOVES chewing on cold celery stalks to help ease the pain, makes for good pictures as well! Her next appointment, the 6 month check up, is on the 26th - we'll give everyone an update of the weight, length, etc. Also, notice she has more hair coming in...somewhat in patches...but it's coming in...and so far...it's not red...momma is not so happy about this :(

WE HAVE TEETH!!!!

Say it's not so...R Bear has two bottom teeth coming in already...she's growing up too fast!!! Just this week, after biting down on mom's finger...we realized that her teeth have started to come through the gums. She's the best baby ever, she had none of the usual teething signs/symptoms, she was drooling a little more than usual last week, but other than that...she's one tough cookie and has a high tolerance for pain I guess. Here are some recent pictures, her next appointment for her 6 month check up is at the end of this month, we'll keep you all posted on the growth updates! We also have some adorably funny video to post soon of R Bear jumping like crazy in her exersaucer, riding around in her car, and trying some semi solid foods (hilarious) for the first time!

Starting to eat solids...sort of....

This is our first attempt at eating with a spoon and not using a bottle. We had a lovely mix of rice cereal, formula, and sweet potatoes...yum yum! R Bear did an amazing job, she didn't fuss too much, she ate the whole little bowl we made her and seemed to enjoy eating with a spoon...she was a little messy of course, which is to be expected! The chi chi's were hoping for more of a mess I think...they were circling under her high chair like a couple of little sharks!
